May Day

Dave spent last weekend up at the Forth Fat meet, which is a group of fatbike lovers getting together and riding their big wheeled beauty’s.  Which meant I was home alone with the dogs for a weekend, we had a few fun walks, played some ball then visited my parents and went for a run on the beach as well as being in at the shop.  This bank holiday weekend is looking like a trip to see Iron Man 3 and a mtb ride

Easter and afterwards

Easter weekend was over a week ago and I got 2 whole glorious days off work!  Went out on my 29er mtb on the Sunday, found snow to ride in,it was a brilliant day, not to cold, layered up with a merino baselayer, a fleece and my Pearl Izumi Barrier Jacket over the top, actually had to pull the zipper down to cool off on the ascents!  Monday took my collies out for a good run round Grizedale forest which is always fun.  We may have eaten easter eggs too.

As you may have noticed that our postage prices have changed since the Bank Holiday weekend, this is due to the price increases that the Post Office have made, we had to make a difficult decision and we have had to start charging for postage.

Hi.  This is hopefully going to be a calm week at izzi towers.  I spent last week with, a fever, coughing, aching that’s right the flu.  No biking, not even a dog walk.  I’m back at it this week and hoping to get a few more things live for you, as we had a couple of new arrivals while I was off.  Hope you all keep well.

Monday musings

Once again my blogging has fallen by the wayside, I need to get better at this. 

We’ve had a week of sunshine up here which has  been lovely and the new small (izzi sized) demo frame has arrived which I’m now waiting, almost patiently, to get built up so I can take it out for a test ride.  Our new spring summer clothing is due to start arriving any day now and I’m excited about seeing all the items we’ve chosen and getting them live to share with all of you.  The shop now has a fabulous black and purple Mukluk in the window which I’m just to small for but it’s still fun to play on, just don’t fall off!

I would like to say sorry to all of you guys for not getting all the winter stuff up quicker.  We’ve been suffering from IT issues and it’s taken a while to get it sorted.  The new winter bits should be up very soon!  We have also been re organising izzivelo, hopefully making it easier for you guys to find what you are looking for.  We are also reducing the selection a little, we are doing this to ensure quick service to all of you when you place an order.

We also have lots more Alchemy Goods items on their way with a few more UK exclusives!

Yesterday I got to dress up and try on lots of our new winter stock.  Why?  So we could do fun and funky product shots of course!  I had hoped to get my younger sister to help model (she’s a lot taller than me, I thought you all might like to see the clothes on tall people too) but she has glandular fever so she wasn’t available to help.  We use a lovely local photographer, who runs her own company and likes to get out and about in the countryside,  so we spent a few hours getting me to pose and Naomi snapped away.  The results will be live on our website soon, however for a sneak peak check out NJB Photography’s Facebook page.

SALE TIME

Morning izzi fans.  It’s been chaos here at our new shop so I apologise for the lack of blogging.  We’ve been busy making winter clothing selections with delicious offerings on their way from Pearl Izumi and Castelli with some funky woolly socks from Teko.  There are also more funky recycled goods on their way but I can’t say to much yet.  Plus some amazing bags from Osprey.

We are also tidying up and revamping the website a bit.  This will be a little bit of an on going project but it won’t affect any of you guys. 

As you all probably know it’s end of season sale time here AND I have decided to offer you all an extra 20% off (it’s nearly my wedding anniversary so I thought I’d be nice)  all you need to do is enter SALE20 at checkout to get an extra 20% off, including off sale prices.

New shop, new chaos

It’s been weeks since I had a chance to blog here.  We’ve moved into our new, larger shop.  There is a whole section dedicated to women’s clothing, a sofa, demo bikes and a changing room.  We’ve been very lucky and have been very busy since we opened up on the 4th of August.  We held a small shop warming that evening and held a charity raffle. Prizes had been donated by Nuun, Lezyne and ourselves plus some of the local shops here in Ulverston.  We raised £100 which was split between Duddon & Furness Mountain Rescue and Croftlands Community Castle Project.

There may be a few discrepancies with stock quantities while I catch up with the chaos from the move. Please bare with me.

Skips, Paint and Tape

I apologise that I haven’t been a good girl and blogged in a little while.  We’ve been super busy sorting out the NEW dc cycles and izzivelo shop.  We had a leaky corner on part of the roof, which we’ve fixed.  There was all the stuff that had been left in the building which we sorted into piles, some of which went to a local fabric scrap store to be recycled, some has gone to the scrappy, some has gone to our friends wood pile and some went into a skip.  We’ve repainted all the walls and have started using masking tape to mark our our new layout.

Our new shop opens on Saturday 4th August!  Let the chaos continue

It’s Tour de France time!  We’ve got offers available on Castelli, Pearl Izumi, Santini covering jersey’s, bibs and more so grab yourself a deal.

Even more exciting is that izzivelo is moving!  We are moving into a much larger shop with our brother retailer dc cycles, which means we’ll have more retail display space!  We will also have the dc cycles workshop under the same roof, plus men’s clothing, children’s items and more izzi stock out.

I’ll post the move date up on here, it’s roughly a month off yet as we have to tidy up and kit out our new space.  It’s all go here!
