About us

Izzivelo started in 2011, as a spin off from our tiny Lake District shop which my husband Dave opened in 2010 specialising in servicing and accessories.  When I started working with him I decided I wanted to do something for us girls, who are often left to fend for ourselves by some shops.  I started off by improving what we started by stocking more women’s specific clothing, picked (with love) by me for you.

After that I decided I wanted to try and reach a wider audience of female cyclists who wanted quality cycling clothing that was designed just for us girls. So in November 2011 izzivelo.com was launched, offering a selection of clothing, accessories and extras for women who ride, no matter what their ability or whether they are roadies, mountain bikers, commuters or just doing it to keep fit and have fun.  I wanted to offer you functional, performance based clothing but with a dash of style thrown in.

From our humble beginnings we have now moved to a much larger shop which dc cycles shares with izzivelo.  This means I now have half a shop, complete with changing room, that I can display more women’s specific clothing and accessories with some multi sport items that you can use at the gym or for running too.
